Hello
We are Justin and Amber Luangkhot. Welcome to Cumberland AgriScience! We hope to connect with you soon.

We are agricultural contract researchers specializing in nematology and plant pathology, but we conduct research across all disciplines (nematodes, fungi, insects, weeds, biologicals, you name it).

We have two young children, Hazel and Henry, who keep us on our toes constantly.
Our Story
Our formal training comes from Auburn University in the form of both undergraduate degrees (horticulture for Justin, agronomy & soils for Amber) and graduate degrees (MS in plant pathology focusing on nematodes for both of us - which is how we met!)

After college, Amber moved to California and was the Plant Pathologist for the Western region at Bayer CropScience from 2015-2018. In 2018, she moved to Washington State, married Justin, and became a contract researcher at Hubbard Agricultural Science working mostly on potatoes in the Columbia Basin.

Justin moved to California in 2016 working for sales with Bayer, and in 2017 moved to Washington State to take over the role of Technical Service Rep where he acted as a liaison between sales, research & development, and marketing. In 2021, he transferred to Wilbur-Ellis as a technical nutrition agronomist and worked toward discovering the role that micronutrients played in the development of certain crops.

In late 2022, we decided it was time to move back to the Southeast to be closer to our family. So, we packed everything and everyone up and drove across the country. After discovering a significant lack of career paths in our current fields here in Alabama, we decided to stick with what we know best and work towards building a contract research business in North Alabama.

We hope to be able to earn your business and to provide research opportunities that, until now, have been unavailable.
